It’s really happening. Those jean skirts you wore a decade ago are making a comeback. If you happen to have one tucked away in a storage container, bring that baby out of retirement. According to more than one reliable source, denim skirts are the new it thing!
According to Nancy Rooney, owner and buyer of Current Clothing, denim skirts were all over fashion market. Although I could hardly believe it when I got the “what’s trending report,” these jean bottoms really are popping up in all shapes and colors. While out and about over the weekend, I came across minis and midis, distressed and stonewashed, fitted and a-line jean skirts. Easy to style for year-round wear, I jumped at the chance to wear my button-front denim skirt from H&M, with a lightweight top, while the temperature remained moderate in San Francisco. Keeping it casual this time around, I tucked in a white shirt and rocked my go-to fringe booties. I accessorized the look with a brown hat, stone necklace, and fabulous flower earrings.
Just like your favorite pair of jean pants, think of all the different ways you could wear a jean skirt. Add one to your fall wardrobe and thank me later…and if it is the one pictured above, order one size up – it runs small.
